Unfortunately, the elevation rotor of the EME array broke at the end of August.
After receiving a new rotor from Yaesu, yesterday with the help of 5B4ALR Stelios, we started repairing the damage and I took the opportunity for a general checkup.
The long and partly unexpected work includes:
- elevation rotor replacement
- replacement coupler
- replacement of the RX cable with a new Cellflex 1/2 “and new connectors, bypassing a connecting cable that has become useless
Tomorrow or the day after we will complete the job so 5B0EME will be again onair !
